Lori Patton is a tutor and education consultant who joined QWERTY in April 2018. Lori has enjoyed working with youth in educational and community-based settings since she was in high school. She enjoys adapting to each student’s needs and understands that each student has to find their best learning strategy.

Lori began her work with youth as a mentor to help other students transition into high school. She has also spent many years learning and teaching students about community service issues.

After earning her bachelor’s degree, Lori moved back to the Bay Area and worked in the special education department at an elementary school in the Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD)for nine years.

Now she is in her second year as an elementary school teacher, teaching fourth graders. While working at PAUSD, she has expanded her experience working with students with learning differences. A great strength of Lori’s is her creativity in adapting curriculum and technology to help students practice their academic skills.
